Soy polysaccharide is a complex carbohydrate from soybeans. It contains very little protein and no isoflavones, unlike other soy parts. This fiber adds bulk to stool and promotes bowel movements, helping to keep digestion regular.
Take it as a powder or capsule. Mix the powder with water or juice and take it with meals. Having it with food helps your body adjust.
Do not use this supplement if you have a soy allergy. Fiber can slow the absorption of certain medicines, so separate doses by at least 2 hours. When you first add fiber to your diet, you might feel gassy or bloated.
