Herbal preparations use the aerial parts of cleavers (Galium aparine). People take it as a tea or tincture for its mild diuretic effect, which may help flush the urinary tract. Some use it for gentle lymphatic support.
Human studies of cleavers are scarce. Avoid it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of kidney disease.
