Agrimony glycerite starts with the flowering tops of Agrimonia eupatoria. The herb steeps in a vegetable glycerin base, not alcohol. The result is a shelf-stable, alcohol-free liquid you can take straight or stir into water or juice.
Take it up to three times a day between meals. Use it for mild digestive upset or as a throat gargle. Glycerin draws out the water soluble constituents effectively, though this type of extract keeps for a shorter time than an alcohol tincture.
Agrimony packs a lot of natural tannins. Those can bother a sensitive stomach if you take too much for too long. We do not have safety data for pregnancy or nursing, so skip it during those times. Check with a doctor before using it if you take any medicine or have a health condition.
