Agave inulin is a soluble fiber pulled from the agave plant. It acts as a prebiotic, feeding the good bacteria in your gut. It is not the same as agave syrup. Agave inulin dissolves more easily in water than chicory inulin and tastes slightly sweeter, so it blends into drinks and foods without a gritty texture.
Your body hardly digests this fiber, which means it does not spike blood sugar. Many people use it to promote regular digestion. A common starting dose is 2 to 3 grams per day. Over time, you can work up to 5 to 10 grams. Stir it into water, smoothies, or baked goods, and take it with a meal to help your stomach handle it better.
Some people notice gas, bloating, or cramping when they first try it. Folks with IBS or trouble absorbing fructose often react more strongly. If your digestion is sensitive, begin with a tiny amount and increase very slowly.
